HUMAN RESOURCES BOARD <br />Meeting Minutes <br />Monday, December 04, 2013 <br />Opening: <br />The regular meeting of the Human Resources Board was called to order at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. December <br />02, 2013 in the City Hall 2 d floor conference room by Chair Norman Powell. <br />Present: Excused Absence: <br />Arthur Butler <br />Alysia Webb <br />Holly Evans <br />Jeannie Darnell (Arrived 4:03 p.m.) <br />Norman Powell <br />Sonya Dew <br />Tricia Eibs <br />Colene Torres <br />Jeremy Hammond <br />Rhonda Strout <br />Guests: <br />Mark Ripley —Airport Director <br />Public Comment Period: <br />Unexcused Absence: <br />Nancy Melendez <br />• No comments made during this portion of the meeting. <br />• At the conclusion of the meeting Jason Hunter requested to address the Board outside of the public <br />comment period. <br />• Chair Norman Powell allowed Jason Hunter and Raychele Sterling to address the Board, but cautioned <br />Mr. Hunter that public comment is agenized for the beginning of the meeting and that this would be a <br />one -time exception due to the fact that he had missed the public comment portion of a prior meeting. <br />• Jason Hunter presented Chair Powell with items he would like placed on a future agenda. <br />A. Departmental Presentation — Mark Ripley, Airport Director <br />• Airport Director Mark Ripley provided the Board with a verbal overview of the Airport. Mr. Ripley <br />presented the Board with an organizational chart, turnover statistics and FMLA leave information. <br />• Mr. Ripley informed the Board about internal recognition provided to employees to boost morale such <br />as their annual holiday dinner. <br />• Airport Director Mark Ripley indicated that the Airport's main revenue comes from space rentals. <br />• Vice -Chair Art Butler inquired as to the status of the Runway Safety Area Project. <br />Page 1 of 2 <br />
