6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />24 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO.2000-2 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF PUBLIC UTILITIES OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING ELECTRIC RATE SCHEDULE <br /> ED, TARGETED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT RATES, MAKING RELATED <br /> FINDINGS OF FACT AND RECOMMENDING CITY COUNCIL APPROVAL <br /> THEREOF. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Riverside's Department of Public Utilities ("Department") has <br />submitted to the Board of Public Utilities ("Board") a proposed electric rate Schedule ED, Target <br />Economic Development Rates ("Schedule ED"), to provide a reduced rate tariff to new or <br />expanding commercial or industrial electric end-use customers within the City of Riverside who <br />are recommended for the Schedule ED rate by the Economic Development Corporation, which <br />recommendation is based upon the standards and guidelines to be established and adopted by the <br />Board and the City Council of the City of Riverside; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, notice of a public hearing on April 21, 2000, to receive and review comments <br />upon the proposed electric rate Schedule ED, Targeted Economic Development Rates, was duly <br />published commencing April 6, 2000; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board held the public hearing on April 21, 2000, to hear any comments on the <br />proposed electric rate Schedule ED, Targeted Economic Development Rates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on April 21, 2000, the Board heard the Department staffs presentation materials <br />regarding adoption of the proposed electric rate Schedule ED, Targeted Economic Development <br />Rates; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the proposed electric rate Schedule ED, Targeted Economic Development Rates, <br />would increase electric sales, jobs, and other tax revenues to Riverside through strategic economic <br />development; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board concurs with the Department's recommendation and concludes that the <br /> <br />proposed electric rate Schedule ED, Targeted Economic Development Rates, should be adopted; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Public Utilities of the City of <br />Riverside, California, as follows: <br />//// <br /> <br />G:\LEG\WPDATA\RES\000603 01.
