Solander Youth and Family Resource Center Improvements <br />November 1, 2011 <br />Page 2of2 <br />At the time of award, the General Services Department was authorized to negotiate change orders <br />up to $5,600. The Department is seeking to increase the change order authority by an additional <br />$5,600 to $11,200. Two change orders have been issued for additional window replacement and a <br />correction to details on the plans for building corner finishes. The additional change order authority <br />is needed to address unforeseen conditions and scope modifications encountered during the <br />construction of the project such as cleaning residue off existing windows and re- masking existing <br />windows with plastic. <br />FISCAL IMPACT: <br />The total project cost is $67,199. This project is funded by a federal grant from the Economic <br />Development Initiative from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. Sufficient <br />funds are available in account number 9227651- 440120 to cover the additional $5,600 change <br />order authority. <br />Prepared by: Kris Martinez, General Services Director <br />Approved by: Belinda J.
