Utility Agreement with RCTC for SR 91 HOV Lanes ' Page 2 Moving the west bound SR 91 on -ramp at Ninth Street to Tenth Street; and Constructing braided ramps for the east bound SR 91 Fourteenth Street on -ramp and University Avenue off -ramp, and for the west bound Tenth Street on -ramp and the Fourteenth Street off -ramp to eliminate weaving conflicts. As a result of the proposed freeway work, it will be necessary to relocate interfering sewers in the Fourteenth Street bridge and a sewer near Date and Commerce Streets. Caltrans has requested that the City design and administer construction of the sewer relocations. The estimated cost of this work is $2,157,636. The Project is a cooperative effort between Caltrans and RCTC, with RCTC administering right - of -way acquisition and utility relocations, while Caltrans will administer the construction work. Consequently, Utility Agreement No. 21443 is with RCTC. The Project is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of 2012 and will be completed in 2016. FISCAL IMPACT There is no fiscal impact to the City. Under the terms of the Agreement, RCTC will reimburse the City for the full cost to relocate the affected sewer facilities in the estimated amount of $2,157,636. Prepared by: Thomas J.
