Utility Agreement with RCTC for SR 91 HOV Lanes ' Page 2 <br />Moving the west bound SR 91 on -ramp at Ninth Street to Tenth Street; and <br />Constructing braided ramps for the east bound SR 91 Fourteenth Street on -ramp and <br />University Avenue off -ramp, and for the west bound Tenth Street on -ramp and the <br />Fourteenth Street off -ramp to eliminate weaving conflicts. <br />As a result of the proposed freeway work, it will be necessary to relocate interfering sewers in <br />the Fourteenth Street bridge and a sewer near Date and Commerce Streets. Caltrans has <br />requested that the City design and administer construction of the sewer relocations. The <br />estimated cost of this work is $2,157,636. <br />The Project is a cooperative effort between Caltrans and RCTC, with RCTC administering right - <br />of -way acquisition and utility relocations, while Caltrans will administer the construction work. <br />Consequently, Utility Agreement No. 21443 is with RCTC. <br />The Project is scheduled to begin construction in the first quarter of 2012 and will be completed <br />in 2016. <br />FISCAL IMPACT <br />There is no fiscal impact to the City. Under the terms of the Agreement, RCTC will reimburse <br />the City for the full cost to relocate the affected sewer facilities in the estimated amount of <br />$2,157,636. <br />Prepared by: Thomas J.
