Removal of Preferential Parking Zone on Yellowstone Drive - Resolution ' Page 2
Residents indicate that the PPZ was put in place in 1985 to address overflow parking from nearby
businesses and The Riverside Plaza. Subsequent to the remodeling and expansion of The
Riverside Plaza and its parking lots, residents feel that overflow parking from this source or from
other nearby businesses is unlikely.
Residents prefer to have unrestricted parking on their street and wish to pursue removal of the
restriction. Removal of the zone will provide unrestricted on- street parking opportunities for
residents and their guests.
FISCAL IMPACT
The cost of sign removal is nominal. Funding is available in the existing Public Works Department
budget.
Prepared by: Siobhan Foster, Public Works Director
Certified as to
availability of funds: Paul C.
