The City <br />Council must also approve an ordinance adding the annexation area to the Sixth Ward. These <br />are the final steps in the annexation process. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS <br />That the City Council: <br />1. Adopt the attached Resolution ordering that Annexation 115 be incorporated into the City <br />of Riverside; and <br />2. Introduce, and subsequently adopt, the attached Ordinance adding the area of <br />Annexation 115 to the Sixth Ward. <br />BACKGROUND <br />On April 6, 2010, the City Council adopted a resolution directing City staff to submit an <br />application to the Local Agency Formation Commission (LAFCO) of the County of Riverside for <br />Annexation 115, an approximately 4.96 acre vacant property located southerly of Indiana <br />Avenue, approximately 703 -feet easterly of Buchanan Street (APN — 135- 280 -041). At the <br />same meeting, the City Council adopted a Pre - Zoning Ordinance placing the property in the R- <br />1-1/2 -Acre — Single Family Residential Zone, as well as a resolution modifying the General Plan <br />land use designation from HR — Hillside Residential to VLDR — Very Low Density Residential. <br />The annexation case was heard concurrently with Tract Map case P07 -1386, a proposal to <br />divide the site into seven (7) lots for the future development of single family residences. <br />26 -1 <br />
