Dougall, Historic Knox Mellon Resources Director Alan Curl, Administrative Curator GUESTS: Glenn Waterman, Riverside Employees Credit Union Clarice Turney, Assistant City Attorney CALL TO ORDER Chairman Maddox called the meeting to order at 10:00 a.m. REQUESTED DEMOLITION OF HOUSES AT 4049 ALMOND STREET AND AT 4063 ALMOND STREET, WITHIN THE PROPOSED WHITE PARK HISTORIC DISTRICT Vietri reviewed information presented in the staff report. He said that the position of the credit union is that either the subject houses must be removed or that the credit union must relocate. Sandison and Gardner advised that they have a financial conflict of interest in this case. Vanderzyl and Mellon joined the meeting at this point. MOTION: Vanderzyl moved acceptance of the staff recommendation that the Cultural Heritage Board recommend to the Environmental Protection Commission that it require a focused environmental impact report to consider the historical and cultural impacts of demolishing the houses at 4049 Almond Street and at 4063 Almond Street and to consider a range of alternatives and mitigation measures. Mellon seconded.
