BACKGROUND: On July 31, 2017, the Historic Preservation Fund Committee directed staff to investigate potential funding sources for reseeding the trust fund. On January 8, 2018, Committee Member Charles Tobin asked that a workshop on potential funding sources for the trust fund be agendized at the next committee meeting. At the April 16, 2018 Historic Preservation Fund Committee meeting, the committee directed to staff to set up the next meeting at a time that would encourage public attendance and continue the discussion at the meeting. DISCUSSION Historic Preservation staff has reviewed potential sources of funds for reseeding the Historic Preservation Trust fund and has developed a matrix (Exhibit 1) which demonstrates what would be required for the funding source, the level of effort implement, the time required to implement, and the anticipated level of support.
