DBA IS ARCHITECTURE FOR PHASE I <br />ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN SERVICES FOR THE NATIONAL HISTORIC <br />LANDMARK HARADA HOUSE REHABILIATION IN THE AMOUNT OF $240,080; <br />AND AUTHORIZE 10% CHANGE ORDER AUTHORITY UP TO $24,008FOR A <br />TOTAL AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED $264,088 <br />ISSUE: <br />Approvethe Professional Consultant Services Agreement with Stiegler Architects P.C., dba IS <br />Architecture of La Jolla, California,for architectural design services for Phase I of the rehabilitation <br />of the National Historic Landmark Harada House inthe amount of $240,080; and authorize 10% <br />change order authority in an amount up to $24,008for a total amount not to exceed $264,088. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS: <br />That the City Council: <br />1.Award RFP 2110 to Stiegler Architects P.C., dba IS Architecture of La Jolla, Californiafor <br />architectural design services for Phase I of the rehabilitation of the National Historic <br />Landmark Harada House in the amount of $240,080; <br />2.Authorize 10% change order authority in an amount up to $24,008 for project changes <br />including, but not limited to,unforeseen conditions or necessary design changes for a total <br />amount not to exceed $264,088; and <br />3.Authorize the City Manager,or designee, to execute the Professional Consultant Services <br />Agreementwith Stiegler Architects P.C., dba IS Architectureincluding making minor and <br />non-substantive changes. <br />BACKGROUND: <br />The National Historic Landmark Harada House (Harada House) was donated to the Museum <br />Department (Museum), City of Riverside(City), by Harada family heirs (deed recorded 2004)on <br />the condition that it be preserved as a civil rights resourcefor the public. Since that time, funds <br />have been expended to arrest further deterioration or respond to weather-related emergencies, <br /> <br />
