I RESOLUTION NO. 21836 <br />2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />3 CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO MODIFY THE TRAFFIC <br />PATTERN AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF DUFFERIN AVENUE AND <br />4 STEWART STREET AND DUFFERIN AVENUE AND MCALLISTER <br />PARKWAY, PLANNING CASE P09-0205, PURSUANT TO SECTION 21101 <br />5 OF THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE, AND TO VACATE DUFFERIN <br />AVENUE BETWEEN STEWART STREET AND MCALLISTER PARKWAY, <br />6 PLANNING CASE P09-0206 AND SETTING THE DATE, HOUR AND <br />PLACE OF HEARING PURSUANT TO THE PUBLIC STREETS, <br />7 HIGHWAYS, AND SERVICE EASEMENT VACATION LAW. <br />8 <br />9 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: <br />10 Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby declares that in Planning <br />11 Case No. P09-0205, its intention to modify the traffic pattern at the intersections of Dufferin <br />12 Avenue and Stewart Street and Dufferin Avenue and McAllister Parkway, pursuant to Section <br />13 21101 of the California Vehicle Code and the Circulation and Community Mobility Element of <br />14 the General Plan to provide for the construction of a permanent knuckle at the Dufferin Avenue <br />15 and Stewart Street intersection, the removal of access at Dufferin Avenue and McAllister Street <br />16 by the installation of a six-foot high fence at the southwesterly portion of Dufferin Avenue at <br />17McAllister Street. <br />Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby declares that in Planning <br />19 Case No. P09-0206, it is the intention to set a public hearing to vacate a portion of Dufferin <br />20 Avenue between Stewart Street and McAllister Parkway, within the City of Riverside, <br />21 California, for the reason that the portion of said street is unnecessary for present and prospective <br />use. <br />22 <br />Section 3: The portion of Dufferin Avenue to be vacated in Planning Case No. P09-0206 <br />23 <br />r1 A within the City of Riverside, California is more particularly described and depicted in Exhibit <br />25"A" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference. <br />Section 4: The traffic pattern modification measure proceeding is being conducted <br />2711 pursuant to Section 21101 of the California Vehicle Code and the notice and hearing provisions <br />28 <br />CITY ATTORN EY'S OFFICE <br />3900 MAFN STREET <br />RIVERSIDE, CA 92512 <br />(951) 826-5i67 <br />
