I RESOLUTION NO. 21836 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, 3 CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO MODIFY THE TRAFFIC PATTERN AT THE INTERSECTIONS OF DUFFERIN AVENUE AND 4 STEWART STREET AND DUFFERIN AVENUE AND MCALLISTER PARKWAY, PLANNING CASE P09-0205, PURSUANT TO SECTION 21101 5 OF THE CALIFORNIA VEHICLE CODE, AND TO VACATE DUFFERIN AVENUE BETWEEN STEWART STREET AND MCALLISTER PARKWAY, 6 PLANNING CASE P09-0206 AND SETTING THE DATE, HOUR AND PLACE OF HEARING PURSUANT TO THE PUBLIC STREETS, 7 HIGHWAYS, AND SERVICE EASEMENT VACATION LAW. 8 9 BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: 10 Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby declares that in Planning 11 Case No. P09-0205, its intention to modify the traffic pattern at the intersections of Dufferin 12 Avenue and Stewart Street and Dufferin Avenue and McAllister Parkway, pursuant to Section 13 21101 of the California Vehicle Code and the Circulation and Community Mobility Element of 14 the General Plan to provide for the construction of a permanent knuckle at the Dufferin Avenue 15 and Stewart Street intersection, the removal of access at Dufferin Avenue and McAllister Street 16 by the installation of a six-foot high fence at the southwesterly portion of Dufferin Avenue at 17McAllister Street. Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Riverside hereby declares that in Planning 19 Case No. P09-0206, it is the intention to set a public hearing to vacate a portion of Dufferin 20 Avenue between Stewart Street and McAllister Parkway, within the City of Riverside, 21 California, for the reason that the portion of said street is unnecessary for present and prospective use. 22 Section 3: The portion of Dufferin Avenue to be vacated in Planning Case No. P09-0206 23 r1 A within the City of Riverside, California is more particularly described and depicted in Exhibit 25"A" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference.
