BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: Section 1: That pursuant to the provisions of the Municipal Organization Act of 1977, being Part 2 of Division 2 of Title 4 of the Government Code of the State of California (commencing with Section 35000), application is hereby made to the Local Agency Formation Commission of the County of Riverside for the annexation to the City of Riverside of certain herein- after described uninhabited territory contiguous to said City, which territory is hereby designated as "Annexation No. 54--Trautwein". Section 2: That the boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed to the City of Riverside are described as Exhibit A, and that a map showing said boundaries is marked as Exhibit B, which exhibits are attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. Section 3: That the City Council of the City of Riverside desires to annex said uninhabited territory to the City of Riverside for the following reasons: the territory proposed to be annexed lies within the general area which has been designated by the City Council, City Planning Commission and the Local Agency Formation Commission as desirable for annexation; the area proposed to be annexed is undeveloped and annexation would allow the City of Riverside to exercise control over development through planning and zoning; and anticipated property and sales taxes from the area proposed to be annexed are expected to exceed the costs the City may incur as a result of providing the necessary municipal services.
