1 <br /> 2 <br /> 3 <br /> 4 <br /> 5 <br /> 6 <br /> 7 <br /> 8 <br /> - 9 <br /> 10 <br /> 11 <br /> 12 <br /> 13 <br /> 14 <br /> 15 <br /> 16 <br /> 17 <br /> 18 <br /> 19 <br /> 20 <br /> 21 <br /> 22 <br /> 23 <br /> 24 <br /> 25 <br /> 26 <br /> 27 <br /> 28 <br /> 28 <br /> 30 <br /> <br /> 31 <br />1/2/85 <br />BP/jm 32 <br /> <br /> CITY ATTORNEY <br /> RIVERSIDE <br /> CALIFORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 15603 <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING RESOLUTION <br /> NO. 15552 ESTABLISHING COMMERCIAL AND INDUSTRIAL <br /> RATES TO BE CHARGED BY THE NATIONAL ENVIRONMENTAL <br /> WASTE CORPORATION (NEWCO) TO PROVIDE EFFECTIVE <br /> AS OF JANUARY 2, 1985, FOR THE IMPOSITION OF A <br /> FEE EQUAL TO THE WASTE DISPOSAL GATE FEE IMPOSED <br /> BY RIVERSIDE COUNTY FOR USE OF COUNTY LANDFILL <br /> SITES. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the National Environmental Waste Corporation <br />(NEWCO) pursuant to a contract with the City of Riverside <br />collects commercial and industrial refuse from that area of the <br />City of Riverside designated as Zone 1; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS pursuant to said contract, NEWCO has been <br />allowed to dispose of such refuse in the City's landfill; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City's sanitary landfill site is rapidly <br />approaching closure and it is necessary to have NEWCO dump the <br />refuse it has collected into a landfill operated by the County <br />of Riverside; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the County of Riverside has imposed a waste <br />disposal gate fee on refuse contractors for use of said County <br />landfill sites; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS it is appropriate to allow NEWCO to pass on <br /> <br />to its customers an amount equal to the County waste disposal <br />gate'fee; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Riverside that Resolution No. 15552 is hereby amended <br />to provide effective January 2, 1985, that in addition to the <br />monthly commercial and industrial refuse collection rates and <br /> <br />the per pick up rates which may be charged by the National <br />Environmental Waste Corporation, an amount equal to the waste <br />disposal gate fee imposed by Riverside County on refuse <br />contractors for use of said County's landfill sites, but not <br />to exceed $0.65 per cubic yard per month, may be charged to the <br />customers of NEWCO. <br /> <br /> <br />
