COUNCIL/AGENCY <br />MEMBERS <br />UI I Y WUNUIL <br />SPECIAL MEETING <br />' <br />MINUTES <br />FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 27, 2009, 10 A.M. <br />SEVENTH FLOOR CONFERENCE ROOM <br />CITY HALL <br />~ <br />3900 MAIN STREET <br />WARDS <br />G <br />A <br />R <br />D <br />N <br />E <br />R <br />1 <br />M <br />E <br />L <br />E <br />N <br />D <br />R <br />E <br />z <br />2 <br />B <br />IA <br />L <br />E <br />Y <br />3 <br />S <br />C <br />H <br />I <br />A <br />V <br />o <br />N <br />E <br />4 <br />M <br />C <br />A <br />R <br />T <br />H <br />U <br />R <br />5 <br />H <br />R <br />T <br />6 <br />A <br />D <br />A <br />M <br />S <br />7 <br />Roll Call: <br />Present <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />X <br />A <br />Mayor Loveridge called the City Council Special Meeting to order at 10 a.m. <br />ORAL COMMUNICATIONS FROM THE AUDIENCE <br />There were no oral comments presented at this time. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Following interviews with Timothy Maloney, Carl Christman, and Mark Cloud, <br />the Mayor and City Council unanimously reappointed Timothy Maloney to the <br />Ward 1 seat on the Planning Commission for a second four-year term <br />expiring March 1, 2013. <br />Mayor Loveridge left the meeting at this time and Mayor Pro Tempore <br />Melendrez presided. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Following interviews with William Allen and James Antoyan, the City Council <br />appointed William Allen to the Ward 3 seat on the Planning Commission for a <br />four-year term expiring March 1, 2013. <br />RECESS <br />Mayor Pro Tempore Melendrez and the City Council recessed at 11:35 a.m. <br />and reconvened at 12:30 p.m. with Mayor Loveridge presiding and all <br />Councilmembers present, except Councilmember Adams. <br />PLANNING COMMISSION <br />Following interviews with Thomas Riggle, Armando Castaneda, and <br />Joseph Schulte, the Mayor and City Council appointed Thomas Riggle to the <br />Ward 5 seat on the Planning Commission for a four-year term expiring <br />March 1, 2013. <br />Following interviews with Finn Comer, David Austin, Joe Tavaglione, <br />Teresa Cohen, Robert Kain, and Stan Stosel, the Mayor and City Council <br />reappointed Finn Comer to the Citywide seat on the Planning Commission to <br />serve the remainder of his second term through March 1, 2010. <br />Following further discussion, the Mayor and City Council appointed <br />Joe Tavaglione as first alternate and Robert Kain as second alternate to the <br />Planning Commission. <br />94-244 <br />
