1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />6 <br /> <br />7 <br /> <br />8 <br /> <br />9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />~5 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br /> 20 <br /> <br />21 <br /> <br /> 22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br /> CALl FORNI A <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 17670 ~ · '"~ <br /> <br /> RIvERsIDE, CALIFO A, SETTING SEWER SERVICE/ <br /> CHARGES AS OF MARCH 1, 1991, FOR BILLINGS RENDERED <br /> ON OR AFTER APRIL 1, 1991; AND REPEALING RESOLUTION <br /> NO. 14669, AND ALL AMENDMENTS THERETO. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS pursuant to Section 14.04,030 of the Riverside <br />Municipal Code, the City Council of the City of Riverside <br />adopted Resolution No. 14669, as amended from time to time, <br />establishing the sewer service charges for every person whose <br />premises in the City of Riverside are equipped with sanitary <br />facilities and who discharges into the sewerage system of the <br />City; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS said Resolution No. 14669, as amended, also <br />included a sewer pumping surcharge imposed upon those areas of <br />the City requiring sewer pumping facilities; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Chapter 14.16 of the Riverside Municipal Code <br />requires a permit for the discharge of wastes at the Riverside <br />Wastewater Treatment Plant by those engaged in the business of <br />pumping or cleaning septic tanks, cesspools, holding tanks or <br />sewage seepage pits and authorizing a fee for such permit; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the Public Works Department has conducted a <br /> <br />review of the ~ewer ~ervioe oharge~ ~0 determine i~ ~he eharge~ <br />generate sufficient revenues to offset expenses to the Sewer <br />Services Fund; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the review has indicated that revenues are <br />insufficient to offset expenses; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the review has also indicated that commercial <br /> <br />and industrial user charges must be modified to make them more <br /> <br /> <br />
