1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> lO <br /> <br />ll <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />~5 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />~9 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br /> 22 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br /> CALl FORNIA <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 17655 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE <br />OF GRANT FUNDS FROM THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA <br />DEPARTMENT OF HOUSING AND COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT <br />FOR THE CITY'S EMERGENCY SHELTER PROGRAM AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE THE NECESSARY <br />DOCUMENTS AS LEAD AGENCY FOR THIS PROGRAM <br />RELATED TO THE ACCEPTANCE OF THE GRANT. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the State of California Department of Housing <br /> and Community Development, Division of Community Affairs, <br /> administers the Emergency Shelter Program; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the City of Riverside and County of Riverside <br /> applied for funds under the Emergency Shelter Program to <br /> purchase and rehabilitate a homeless men's shelter in the City <br /> of Riverside; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the State of California Department of Housing <br /> and Community Development has approved the application and has <br /> authorized the granting of funds for this project; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the State of California Department of Housing <br />and Community Development requires the recipient of Emergency <br />Shelter Program funds to certify that all uses of the funds will <br />be in compliance with Emergency Shelter Program Regulations and <br />Contract; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Riverside that a grant in the amount of not more <br />than the maximum amount permitted by law is hereby accepted to <br />enter into a contract and any amendment thereto with the State <br />of California Department of Housing and Community Development to <br />perform any and all responsibilities related to such contract. <br /> <br /> <br />
