<br />1 <br />2 <br />3 <br />4 <br />5 <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 <br />9 <br />10 <br />11 <br />12 <br />13 <br />14 <br />15 <br />16 <br />17 <br />18 <br />19 <br />20 <br />21 <br />22 <br />23 <br />24 <br />25 <br />26 <br />27 <br />28 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 866 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE REDEVELOPMENT AGENCY OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING FINDINGS PURSUANT TO <br />HEALTH & SAFETY CODE SECTION 33445 AND AUTHORIZING <br />PAYMENT OF COSTS FOR PUBLICLY OWNED PROJECTS WITHlN OR <br />WITHOUT THE ARLINGTON REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT AREA THAT <br />CONSISTS OF THE INSTALLATION OF A FIBER NETWORK AT <br />ARLINGTON AND HUNT PARKS. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Redevelopment Agency of the City of Riverside, California ("Agency") <br /> <br /> <br />desires and intends to pay the cost for the construction and installation of public improvements <br /> <br />consisting of a fiber network to provide the speed and capacity for high resolution security <br /> <br />cameras at Arlington and Hunt Parks ("Improvements") within or without the Arlington <br /> <br />Redevelopment Project Area (the "Project Area"); and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Health and Safety Code Section 33445 provides that the Agency may, with <br /> <br /> <br />the consent of the legislative body, pay all or part of the value of the land for, and the cost of the <br /> <br />installation and construction of, any building, facility, structure, or other improvements that is <br /> <br />publicly owned either within or without the Project Area; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Improvements will consist of the installation of a fiber network which <br /> <br />will facilitate the further installation of high speed video security cameras which have become a <br /> <br /> <br />priority for new and upgraded facilities at Arlington and Hunt Parks; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, while Hunt Park is outside, but adjacent to, the Project Area boundary, the <br /> <br /> <br />future improvements will be of benefit to the Project Area; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Improvements will reduce blight in the Project Area and its surrounding <br /> <br /> <br />neighborhoods; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Improvements will protect public investment and promote the health, <br /> <br />safety and welfare of the community; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the legislative body of the Agency has consented to the Agency's payment <br /> <br />of the cost of construction and installation of the Improvements; and <br /> <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Agency, with consent of the legislative body, desires to pay the cost for <br /> <br />construction and installation of the Improvements as described in this resolution. <br /> <br />1 <br />
