- RESOLUTION NO. 1.9432 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION ORDERING CHANGES OF PROCEEDINGS <br />WITHOUT NOTICE OR HEARING TO REVISE THE <br />DESCRIPTION OF AUTHORIZED IMPROVEMENT <br />WORK, REVISE THE ESTIMATE OF COSTS AND <br />EXPENSES, AND EDUCE THE AMOUNT OF <br /> SPECIFIED ASSESSMENTS <br /> <br /> (Riverside Auto Center Assessment District) <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside resolves as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1. Recitals. <br /> <br /> (a) By its Resolution No. 19277, adopted on May 19, 1998, this City Council <br />approved the proposed public improvement project (the "Project") for the Riverside Auto Center <br />Assessment District (the "Assessment District"), approved the estimate of cost and expenses, and <br />levied the individual special assessments upon certain parcels of land deemed specially benefited <br />by the Project, all as more fully described in the Confirmed Engineer's Report, as submitted by <br />Albert A. Webb Associates, the Assessment Engineer for the Assessment District. Thereafter, <br />on December 16, 1998, the City of Riverside (the "City") received sealed bids for the Project, <br />and the low bid received exceeded the engineer's estimate upon which the approved estimate of <br />cost and expense had been based. <br /> <br /> (b) Following consultation among City staff, the Assessment Engineer, and <br />representatives of the affected property owners in the Assessment District, an Amended <br />Engineer's Report has been prepared and filed with the City Clerk of the City, which <br /> <br />recommends a revised scope of the proposed public improvement project (primarily, eliminating <br />the previously-authorized dealer signs and lighting), corresponding modifications to the estimate <br />of cost and expenses, and corresponding reductions in the amount of some (but not all) of the <br /> <br />DOCSSFI :318018.1 <br />40941 .-4-SS4 <br /> <br /> <br />
