RESOLUTION NO. 19429 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, CONFIRMING THE REPORT OF THE RIVERSIDE DOWNTOWN <br />ASSOCIATION ACTING IN ITS CAPACITY AS THE ADVISORY BOARD TO THE <br />DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA, AND IMPOSING THE LEVY <br />FOR THE DOWNTOWN BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT AREA FOR THE YEAR <br />BEGINNING JANUARY 1, 1999. <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />6 WHEREAS the City Council by Resolution No. 19405 stated its intention to hear and <br />7 consider protests to the annual imposition of levy for the Downtown Business Improvement Area at <br />8 a public hearing on January 26, 1999 at 7:00 p.m.; and <br />9 WHEREAS the City Council heard and considered and ruled on all written and oral <br />10 protests to the imposition of the annual levy at said hearing; <br />11 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />12 California, pursuant to Section 36535 of the Streets and Highways Code as follows: <br />13 1. The report of the Riverside Downtown Association, acting in its capacity as the <br />14 Advisory Board to the Downtown Business Improvement Area, is confirmed. <br />15 2. The levy for the Downtown Business Improvement Area is imposed for the calendar <br />16 year 1999 at the rate of 50% of the business tax charge. <br />17 3.
