SP-002-989 <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br />4 <br /> <br />5 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 19427 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br />CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE SYCAMORE HIGHLANDS SPECIFIC PLAN AND <br />THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE RIVERSIDE GENERAL PLAN BY <br />CHANGING THE HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL - RHD AND RETAIL BUSINESS <br />AND OFFICE - CBO LAND USE DESIGNATIONS ON APPROXIMATELY 38.54 <br />VACANT ACRES LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWESTERLY CORNER OF FAIR <br />ISLE DRIVE AND SYCAMORE CANYON BOULEVARD BY REDESIGNATING <br />THE SUBJECT PROPERTY TO HIGH DENSITY RESIDENTIAL - RHD AND <br />RETAIL BUSINESS AND OFFICE - CBO (ADJUSTING THE DESIGNATION <br />BOUNDARY LINE). <br /> <br />6 <br />7 <br />8 WHEREAS an application was submitted to the City of Riverside designated as Case SP- <br />9 002-989 to amend the City of Riverside General Plan and the Sycamore Highlands Specific Plan by <br />10 adjusting the land use designation boundary line and redesignating certain property as High Density <br />11 Residential and Retail Business and Office; and <br />12 WHEREAS the Planning Commission of the City of Riverside, Califomia, advertised for <br />13 and held a public hearing on August 20, 1998, to consider a proposed amendment to the Sycamore <br />14 Highlands Specific Plan and the Land Use Element of the General Plan and thereby recommended <br />15 to the City Council that the amendment proposed by Case SP-002-989 would not have a significant <br />16 effect on the environment and that the amendment be approved; and <br />17 WHEREAS the City Council of the City of Riverside, Califomia, advertised for and held <br />18 a public hearing on October 20, 1998, to consider Case SP-002-989; <br />19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, <br />20 California, that the City Council finds as follows: <br />21 1. It is in the public interest to amend the Sycamore Highlands Specific Plan and the <br />22 Land Use Element of the Riverside General Plan as more particularly described below. <br />23 2. The amendment of the Sycamore Highlands Specific Plan and the General Plan will <br />24 not have a significant adverse effect on the environment. <br />25 BE IT FLIRTHER RESOLVED that the Sycamore Highlands Specific Plan and the Land <br />26 Use Element of the Riverside General Plan are hereby amended by changing the land use <br />27 designation boundary line on approximately 38.54 vacant acres located on the southwesterly comer <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
