RESOLUTION NO. 19423 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING SECTION 20 OF RESOLUTION NO. 19259 BY AMENDING SUBSECTION 5236 IN ITS ENTIRETY TO ADJUST THE RENTAL RATES AND DEFINITIONS FOR RENTAL OF THE LAKESIDE ROOM. 1 2 3 4 5 WHEREAS, the Lakeside Room at the Stewarts Boathouse in Fairmount Park has been 6 available for rental since April 1996. 7 WHEREAS, for the period between April 1996 and June 30, 1998, the Lakeside Room 8 has been reserved thirty-nine times: twenty for Park & Recreation Department sponsored events, 9 sixteen reservations by the general public and three cancellations. Of the sixteen reservations, only 10 three have been for private gatherings for groups larger than thirty people. 11 WHEREAS, current rates for the Lakeside Room are modified from those used at the 12 Citrus State Historic Park's Sunkist Center, which is both larger and has more amenities than the 13 Lakeside Room. 14 WHEREAS, to increase usage of the Lakeside Room, staff has proposed to adjust rental 15 rates and group definitions for the Lakeside Room from those currently set forth in the City's Fees 16 and Charges Resolution (No. 19259). 17 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, 18 California, as follows: 19 Section 1: Section 20 of Resolution No. 19259 is hereby amended by amending, in its 20 entirety, subsection 5236 to read as follows: 21 5236 Lakeside Room Rental. 22 The following fees shall be charged for the use of the Lakeside Room located on the 23 second level of the Stewarts Boathouse at Fairmount Park for the following groups; provided, 24 however, no room fee shall be charged for Departmental programs, City functions and officially co- 25 sponsored programs (Group I organizations) subject to the prior approval of the Park and Recreation 26 Director. Group I organizations may be subject to other fees such as setup fee, cleaning fee, 27 personnel fees, and alcohol service fee. All rentals shall be for a two (2) hour minimum.
