RESOLUTION NO. 19421 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE SALARY RESOLUTION NO. 19390 TO AMEND TABLE 1, THE SALARY PLAN, BY ADDING A NEW SALARY RANGE DESIGNATION AS S09A; AND TO AMEND TABLE 2, THE CLASSIFICATION PLAN, TO ADD THE FOLLOWING CLASSIFICATION, AMERICORPS PROMISE FELLOW, RANGE S09A. WHEREAS, since the inception of the Youth Action Plan, the City has accounted for the funds contributed by the partner agencies and the ultimate expenditure of these funds is overseen by the Executive Coordinating Council for the Youth Action Plan, of which the City Manager is a member; and WHEREAS, the partner agencies have pledged their support for the Fiscal Year 1999- 11 2000 program and in addition, the City has received notice of a $20,000 grant award from the 12 California Commission on Improving Life Through Service to provide funds for two Americorps 13 Promise Fellow positions; and 14 WHEREAS, the grant fund amount will be matched by $20,000 from the contributed 15 funds for the Youth Action Plan and the Fellows will provide over 4,000 hours of support to the 16 Youth Action Office in one year; and 17 WHEREAS, the grant requires that the Fellows be covered under the City's workers' 18 compensation insurance program and therefore must be City employees; and 19 WHEREAS, in order to implement the recommendation to add two Americorps Promise 20 Fellow positions to the City Manager' s Office for the duration of grant funding it becomes 21 necessary to amend the City Salary Resolution No. 19390. 22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Riverside, 23 California, as follows: 24 Section 1: Table 1 of Resolution No. 19090 setting forth the Salary Plan is amended to 25 add thereto the following salary range: 26 S09A with 1 step $1083/monthly 27 // City Attorney's Office 3900 Main Street Riverside, CA 92522 (909) 782-5567
