1 RESOLUTION NO. 19418 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, WAIVING CONDUCTING AUTHORITY PROCEEDINGS 3 RELATING TO ANNEXATION NO. 85 TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. 4 WHEREAS, the owners of the affected property wish to make application to the 5 Riverside County Local Area Formation Commission ("LAFCO") for the annexation of certain 6 parcels of unincorporated territory as shown on Exhibit A which is attached hereto; and 7 WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is a 10.34 acre site consisting of seven 8 parcels developed with a combination of commercial and industrial uses with outdoor storage; and 9 WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is uninhabited within the meaning of 10 California Government Code section 56046; and 11 WHEREAS, the property owners of 100% of the property comprising the annexation 12 territory have given their written consent to the annexation; and 13 WHEREAS, the owners of the affected property and the City of Riverside desire that the 14 annexation be completed in the shortest possible time period; and 15 WHEREAS, California Government Code section 56837(c)(3) provides for a waiver of 16 conducting authority proceedings provided that, inter alia, "...all affected local agencies that will 17 gain territory as a result of the change' of organization or reorganization have consented in writing to 18 a waiver of conducting authority proceedings;" 19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND AND DETERMINED by the City 20 Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: 21 That the City of Riverside, pursuant to Government Code section 56837(c)(3), does 22 hereby consent to a waiver of conducting authority proceedings for the purpose of expediting 23 LAFCO application. 24 /// 25 /// 26 /// 27 /// City Attorney's Office 3900 Main Street Riverside, CA 92522 (909) 782-5567
