1 RESOLUTION NO. 19418 <br /> <br /> 2 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, <br /> CALIFORNIA, WAIVING CONDUCTING AUTHORITY PROCEEDINGS <br /> 3 RELATING TO ANNEXATION NO. 85 TO THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. <br /> <br />4 WHEREAS, the owners of the affected property wish to make application to the <br />5 Riverside County Local Area Formation Commission ("LAFCO") for the annexation of certain <br />6 parcels of unincorporated territory as shown on Exhibit A which is attached hereto; and <br />7 WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is a 10.34 acre site consisting of seven <br />8 parcels developed with a combination of commercial and industrial uses with outdoor storage; and <br />9 WHEREAS, the proposed annexation territory is uninhabited within the meaning of <br />10 California Government Code section 56046; and <br />11 WHEREAS, the property owners of 100% of the property comprising the annexation <br />12 territory have given their written consent to the annexation; and <br />13 WHEREAS, the owners of the affected property and the City of Riverside desire that the <br />14 annexation be completed in the shortest possible time period; and <br />15 WHEREAS, California Government Code section 56837(c)(3) provides for a waiver of <br />16 conducting authority proceedings provided that, inter alia, "...all affected local agencies that will <br />17 gain territory as a result of the change' of organization or reorganization have consented in writing to <br />18 a waiver of conducting authority proceedings;" <br />19 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, FOUND AND DETERMINED by the City <br />20 Council of the City of Riverside, California, as follows: <br />21 That the City of Riverside, pursuant to Government Code section 56837(c)(3), does <br />22 hereby consent to a waiver of conducting authority proceedings for the purpose of expediting <br />23 LAFCO application. <br />24 /// <br />25 /// <br />26 /// <br />27 /// <br /> <br />City Attorney's Office <br />3900 Main Street <br />Riverside, CA 92522 <br />(909) 782-5567 <br /> <br /> <br />
