An Ordinance providing for the making of Assess~,~ents and Collection of Taxes for tho City of Riverside by the Assessor and Tax Oolieotor of the Crusty of Riverside, ~mrsuant to ~t. XV Soo. MS4 of tho.Ohartor of the Clt~ of Riverside. The M~-or and Oo~n~non Council of tho City of Riverside do ordain ae follow~ :- Section 1: That the d~ties of the Assessor and T~ Collector of said City of Hivqrside,.relating to tho assessing and do~leoting of City Taxes, shall be hereafter performed by tho County Assessor and County ~ Collector of the Coul!ty of Riverside, State of California, in the m~er m~d as provided by ~ Act of the Legislature of the State of Calif- ornia, entitled: "~ Act to provide for the levy and collection of taxes by and for the uso of ~nicipal corporations and cities incorporated 'under the laws of the State of California, except ~unloipal corporations of the first class and to provide for the consolidation and abolition of certain Inunioipa~ Offices and to provide that their duties ~ay bo perforated by certain officers of the County and fixing the compensation to bo allowed for such County officers for the services so rendered to m~ch ~unloipal corporation", approved, l~aroh twenty-seventh, eighteen hun,.ed ninety-five. Section 2: ~at the not w:~ount of all Taxes collected for tl~o City of Riverside by. said county Tax Collector shall be paid to the ~ea~er of the City of Riverside under the general requiro)~ents and penalties provided bM law for the settlement of otl~er t~es. Section 3: ~at all taxes for City purposes upon taxable property in the City of Riverside shall be hereafter levied and collected ~der ~d according to the provisions of tho above mentioned Act. Section 4: ~at imd~edlatoly after tl~o adol~ion and posting of this Ordinance the City Olerk shall file ~-ith tl~e Auditor, AssOssor ~d T~ Collector of said County of ~versido a certified copy of tl~o Eeotion 5: All Ordinances or pm. ts of Ordinances In c onfllct herewith ~e hereby repealed.
