T(2) SECTION 19.34.020 TO PERMIT OUTDOOR DISPLAY <br />OF LIVE PLANT MATERIVALS OUTSIDE OF A PERMITTED PLANT NURSERY <br />SUBJECT TO APPROVED STANDARDS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside, Califomia, does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 19.34.020 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended by <br /> <br />adding thereto a new subsection M. to read as follows: <br /> <br />"M. The display of live plant materials outside of a permitted permanent plant nursery <br />enclosure which is located within a business with a year round nursery function, subject <br />to the following standards: <br /> <br />Outdoor display of items shall be limited to live plants only and shall not be <br />for the purpose of any other form of merchandise display. <br /> <br />The outdoor disl:,lay shall be confined to a maximum of 20 feet immediately <br />adjacent to the rnLain public entrance or parking lot frontage of the permanent <br />plant nursery enclosure. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Plant displays shall not obstruct walkways, driveways, parking areas, <br />pathways or any surface designed to accommodate disabled persons, including <br />but not limit to, designated handicapped parking spaces. Plant displays shall <br />also not extend into any public rights-of-way. <br /> <br />o <br /> <br />All cashiering shall occur within the retail building or permanent nursery <br />enclosure. <br /> <br />There shall be no more than a single one square foot (12" x 12") price sign for <br />each variety of live plant product displayed. Each permitted sign shall be <br />pl.aced.immediately adjacent to the plant product referenced on the permitted <br />price s~gn. <br /> <br />6. Activities such as potting, arranging, packaging, or propagation are prohibited. <br /> <br />Display racks or other structures utilized to display live plants shall not exceed <br />six feet in overall height. <br /> <br />, <br /> <br />Outdoor display of live plant material shall only occur during the hours that <br />the business is olden to the public." <br /> <br />Section ?: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause <br /> <br />publication once in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the <br /> <br />Chaffer of the City of Riverside.
