TO LIMIT THE TEMPORARY <br />ESTABLISHMENT OF A CAMPER, MOBILE HOME, MOTOR HOME OR <br />TRAILER FOR RESIDENTIAL OCCUPANCY ON ONLY THOSE LOTS WITH AN <br />ESTABLISHED PERMANENT RESIDENCE, AND REMOVING THE TERM <br />"HOUSECAR" AND REPLACING IT WITH "CAMPER" IN THOSE SECTIONS. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, does ordain as follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Section 19.68.050 of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended to read <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />"19.68.050 OCCUPANCY PROHIBITED AND EXCEPTIONS. <br /> <br />Except in approved mobile home parks where the provisions of this Section shall <br />not apply or as otherwise provided in this Section, no camper, mobile home, <br />motor home or trailer which is occupied or used or designed or intended to be <br />occupied or used for dwelling, residential or sleeping purposes shall be erected, <br />moved, placed, maintained or used for dwelling, residential or sleeping purposes <br />anywhere within the City, and no person shall occupy or use any camper, mobile <br />home, motor home or trailer for dwelling, residential or sleeping purposes in the <br />City; provided, however, that a single camper, mobile home, motor home or <br />trailer may be temporarily placed, maintained, occupied and used for dwelling, <br />residential and sleeping purposes for a period of not to exceed fifteen total days in <br />any one calendar year on any given parcel in a single family residential zone <br />occupied by a single family dwelling. <br /> <br />The fifteen day limitation of this Section shall not apply to any camper, mobile <br />home, motor home or trailer approved for residential occupancy by a conditional <br />use permit or a minor conditional use permit as prescribed by Chapter 19.64 of <br />this Code, nor to a mobile home lawfully established on a permanent foundation." <br /> <br />Section 2: Section 19.64.040 O. of the Riverside Municipal Code is hereby amended to <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br />"19.64.040 O. SPECIAL USES .... <br /> <br />O. The occupancy of a single camper, mobile home, motor home or trailer for <br />residential use on any given parcel one acre or larger occupied by a single family <br />dwelling, for a period exceeding the fifteen days in any one calendar year <br />prescribed by Section 19.68.050 of this Code, but not exceeding one year;" <br /> <br /> Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this ordinance and cause <br />publication once in a newspaper of general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the <br />Charter of the City of Riverside.
