EXPIRED ORDINANCE NO. 1.,~ (New Series)'" An ordinance fixing the water rates in the City of Riverside, Califernia for-the year co~nencing July let, 1912, and ending June 30th, 1913. The ~[ayor and Common CoUnCil of the City of l~iverside do ordain as follows:- Section 1. That the r~tes of compensation to be collected by any person, compamy or corporation engaged in the business of supplying water to the inhabitants of the City of Riverside, State California, for family uses, for private purposes, for municipal uses, for irrigation, and for public purposes of the said City Sot the year commencing July let, 19lB, and ending June 30th, 1913, are hereby Nixed as follows:- Section 2. Water for domestic purpeses shall be 5elivered to consumers by all ps,sons, c~npanies or corporations, collecting water rates within the City o£ Riverside, when measured through meters, at the following rates, to-wit:- When used for strictly domestic purposes, no water being used for irmigation, or for lawns or flowers; three hundred (300) feet or less per month, fifty cents (50~) per hundred feet. For every additional hundred feet per month, fifte~en cents (15~) per hundred feet. Srovided that no water rate bhall be less than One Dollar and forty cents (.~1.40) per month for each family or separate user supplied with water through said meter, and provided, further, that any consumer who uses domestic water exclusively may have the same meast~ed and adjusted by ~..~eter, but sush consumeP shall pay for the meter and shall pay such person, companv or corporation supplying the same eccordingto the quantity actually used, at the rate as fixed in this section, p~'ovided, however, thst the mont~ly bill of each such user, while so supplied through such meter s~!l not be less than one dollar and forty cents ('.~1.40).
