The mayor and common council of the Oity of Riverside do ordain as follows:- Section 1. Section 18 of Ordinance ilo. 17 (llew Series) of the City of Rive','eide, approved January 8, 1908, is hereby amended to road as follows:- "Section 18. FR~d.,'E BUiLDiNGS: All frame dwellings in the City of Riverside shall be fo','med with studding and covered with ~-astio sheathing, boards, shingles or any .... of some a~'rangemen~ materials equally substanti~ on the outside. In a one-story fr~une building, having studs not more than ten feet in length, 2 x 3s may be used for the outside walls. In one and one-half and two-story frame build- ings, all outside walls and all beaming partitions must be 2 x l~ inch studding. In non-bearing partitiSns in these buildings 2 x 3"etude may be used. So-called "California Houses" over one story in height, must have 2 x 4 inch studded frame, the same as plastered houses. For buildings of three stories in height the studding shall not be less than 2 x 6 inch scantling.
