(~ew Beries), ~; ORDINANOE OF THE OITY'OF RIVERSIDE OALLING A 8PEOIAL ELEOTION TO BE HELD IN 8AID OITY ON THE I~th ]NY OF .MAY~,, 1913, ~;D 8UBNITTINO TO THE QUALIFIED VOTER8 OF MAID OITY A PROPOSITION OF INOURRING INDEBTEDNESS FOR THE ACQUISITION AND GONMTRUOTION OF A OERTAIN NUNIOIPAL INPROVE~ENT, PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUE OF BONDM THEREFOR, DEMORIBING THE ELEOTION PREOINOTM, DEMIONATINO THE POLLING PLACES, AND APPOINTING ELEOTION OFFIOER8 FOR 8AID ELEGTION. WHEREAS, the Common Council of the 0ity of - Riverside at its meeting held April ll, 1913, by a vote of two-thirds of all its members, duly passed and adopted ~ resolution determining: First:- That the public interest and neces- sity demand the acquie~tion and construction by the said City of Riverside of a certain revenue-producing municipal improvement, to-wit, the acquisition and construction of ~ municipal water works system for the purpose of supply- ing said City and the inhabitants thereof with domestic and irrigating water; said contemplated municipal water works system t6 consist of the present domestic water system of the Riverside Water Company, a corporation; the domestic and irrigating water system of the Riverside A~tesia Water Company, a corporation; the domestic water system of one H. P. Kyes, and the combination, extension abd betterment of said systems substantially in ~ocordanoe with the report of Messrs. Burns & HoDonnell, Consulting Engineers, filed in the office of the City Clerk of sa~d city on October 8, 191~. That the estimate~ cost of said municipal improvement is the s~ of $1,160.0OO. to be expended as follows:- $5Y5,000. to purchase the said domestic water system of the Riverside Water Company; $195,O00.
