ORDINANOE NO. 166 <br /> (New Series) <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANCE PROHIBITING THE OARRYINO ON OR <br />NAINTAINING BOWLING ALLEYS ON THE LORD'8 DAY IN THE OITY <br />OF RIVERSIDE, B~TWEEN CERTAIN HOURS. <br /> <br /> The Mayor and Common Council of the City of River- <br /> <br />side do ordain as follows:- <br /> Section 1: It shall be and is hereby made.un- .. <br /> lawful for any person, or persons, firm or corporation, indi- <br /> vidually or by association w~th others, either as owner, prin- <br /> cipal, clerk, agent, servant, or employee , to open, Iccp, carry <br /> on, or assist in carrying on any bowling alley or other place <br /> in the City of Riverside, where any bowling alley or alIeys is, or <br /> are kept for hire or public use, or to keep such places open <br /> <br />or to operate the same between the hours of eleven o'clock P.M. <br />of Saturday and five o'clock A. M. of the following Monday, and <br />each such lmerson or persons , firm' or corporation shall be <br />deemed guilty of a separate offense for each Bay, during any <br />portion of which any violation of any provision of this ordi- <br />nance is committed, conducted or permitted, by such person, <br />persons, firm or corporation, and shall be punishable therefor <br />as provided by this ordinance. <br /> <br /> Section 2: That any person, persons, firm or corporation <br />iniividually or by association with others, either as owner, <br />principal, clerk, agent, servant, or employee, who violates <br />any of the provisions of this ordinance , shall be deemed <br />guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction thereof, shall be <br />punishable by a fine of not less than Ten Dollars ($10) or <br />more than Three Hundred Dollars ($300), or by imprisonment in <br />the City Jail for a period of not less than five (5~ days, <br />horrors than one hundred (100) days, or by both such fine and <br /> <br />imprisonment. <br /> Page 1. <br /> <br /> <br />
