L,._ <br /> <br /> AN ORDINANOE OF THE 0ITY OF RIVERSIDE GRANTING TO THE <br />PAOIFIO ELEOTRi0 HALLWAY COMPANY, ITS sUOOESSOR8 AND ASsIONS, <br />THE HIGHT TO OONSTHUOT, OPERATE AND MAINTAIN, OR TO HAINTAIN <br />AND OPERATE, A RAILROAD TO BE SINGLE OR DOUBLE TRACKED IN <br />WHOLE OR IN PART AT THE OPTION OF THE ORANTEE, OVER, ALO~ <br />AND ACR088 CERTAIN STREETS IN TI~ CITY OF RIVERSIDE FOR A <br />PERIOD OF FORTY-FIVE (45) YEARS FROM AND AFTER THE 18TH DAY <br />OF SEPTEMBER, <br /> <br /> Tha Mayor and Oommon Council of the Oity of Riverside do ordain <br /> <br />as follows~- <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the right, privilege and ~ranohise be and the <br /> <br />same is hereby granted to the Pacific Electric Railway Company, its <br />successors ~nd assigns, to construct, pperate and maintain, or to <br />maintain and operate, a railroad to be single or ~ouble tracked in <br />whole or in part, at the option of the grantee, for a period of <br />forty-five (~5) years from and after the lgth day of September, <br />1911,'over and along the route and over andalong and upon the <br />streets or portions of streets in said Oity of Riverside described <br />as follows, togwit:- <br /> <br /> The extension Of Magnolia Avenue as outlined and defined by <br />R~solut~on No. 6~ (New Series) of the Nayor and Common Council of the <br />Oity of Riverside, declaring their intention to extend and open up <br />~gnolia Avenue in said city from the present termination of said ,..~. <br />avenue at Arlington Avenue in said city ~$ the center line of <br /> <br /> Street near its intersection with the center line of Fourteent~;'' <br /> Street in said oity, said Resolution No. 6~ (New Series) ha~i~ <br /> the Oommon Oounoil of the City of Riverside ~aroh'ii~'~;. 1910, <br /> passed <br /> by <br /> <br /> and aocordina to the ma~s showing the location of said !laanolia Ave- <br /> nue on file in the County Recorderts office of the County of River- <br /> side, California, in Book NO. ? of Ma~s, at page 61; together with <br /> the right to erect and maintain all necessary poles and wires and to <br /> construct and maintain, or to maintain and operate, all necessary <br /> switches, turnouts, curves, connections and such other appliances <br /> as m~y be necessary to the safe and proper operation of said electric <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
