AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING AND O~DERINO A SPECIAL MUNICIPAL ELEC~ <br />TION IN THE FIRST WARD ~THE CITY OF RI~RSIDE ON FR!DAY, <br />T~- FOURTH DAY OF JUNE, 1915, FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELEOTINO A <br />~EBER OF THE COM;.~ON COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF ~I~RSIDE, FRON <br />SAID WA~D~ <br /> <br /> WHE}~EAS, a vacancy now exists in the Common Council <br />of the City of Hiversids, owing to the death on April 21et, <br />1~15, of Bradford .~.~orse, a member of oaid Co~r. mon Council, and <br /> <br /> %;71EREAS, the City Charter of the City provides that <br />no special election shall be held less than thirty days after <br />the passage of an ordinance calling the san~e, now therefore, <br /> <br /> The ~m{~yor aud Common Council of the City of River~ <br /> <br />side do ordain as follows:- <br /> <br /> Section 1. That a special municipal election is <br />hereby called and proclaimed for a.nd on behalf of the First <br />Ward of the City of Riverside, to be held on Fridmy, the <br /> <br />4th day June, 1915, at which there shall be elected a member <br />of the Con,s, on Council from said First Ward of the City of <br />Riverside, <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the person who shall be elected <br /> <br />at said election as a mer.~ber of the Co~n:on Council from se. id <br />ward, shall hold office for and during the term expiring on <br />the First Monday in January, 1916, <br /> <br /> Section 3, That said election sh~ll be held in <br />accordance'~ith the provisions of the General Law of the State <br />of California governing municipal elections where the san~e are <br />held separate and apart from the General State Election and the <br />General Election Laws of the State of California, so far as <br />may be applicable, and in accordance with the provisious of <br />the Charter of the City of Riverside, <br /> <br />Page 1. <br /> <br /> <br />
