(l~ew Series) AN ORDINANOE OF THE 0IT~ OF RIVERSIDE OREA?IN~ A OIT~ P~.ANNIN(~ 6~3MMISSIOI~ PRO¥IDINO FOR THE' APPOINTMENT THEREOF~ AND PRESCRIB- IN~ IT8 POWERS AND DUTIESo The Mayor and Common Council of the Oity of Riverside, do ordain as follows ~- Section 1. The City Planning Commission in and for the City of Riverside, is hereby created and established. Section 2. The said City Planning Commission shall be composed of Eight (8) members, five of who~\.shall be ~ppointed by the M~yor of the Olty, and one of which five so a~pointed by the Mayor of said Oity, shall be & duly q,~l ifAed and acting Councilman of said City. The M&yor, the Oity Attorney and the Olty Engineer shall be ex~offioio full members of said Commission. At the first meeting of the Commission, the five appointed mem- bers of the first Commission so appointed hexeunder, shall ~o classify themselves by lot, that one of their number shall go out of office &t the end of the first current oalendax year; one ~t the end of two years thereafter; one at the end of three yeaxs thereafter~ and one at the end of four yeaxs thereafter. Subsequent appointments made at the expiration of the term of any Commissioner, shall be for the full term of five years. V&oan- eisa for ~y unexpired term, shall be filled by appointm~t, as in the first instance, and such member so appointed shall hold office for the unexpired portion of said term. Two non- resi- dents shall be eligible to mppointment on the said Oity Planning Commi ss ion. Page 1.
