(New Series) ~'~, . . .~ AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE MAKING OF A2sE,~,q:~E~[T~ AND' COt, bECTION OF TAXES FOR THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE BY THE ASSESSOR AL~D TAX COLDEOTOR OF TtIE COUNTY OF RIVERSIDE, PUPSUA.NT TO ART. XV, SEC. 234 OF THE CHARTER OF TIlE CITY OF RIVERSIDE. The },'ayor and Co~r, on Council of the City of Riverside do ordain as follows: Section 1. That the duties of the Assessor and Tax Co]lector of the City of Riverside, relating to the assessing and collecting of city taxes, shall be hereafter perfor~?.ed for the fiscal year ending June 30, 1917, by the County Assessor and Co~mty Tax Collector of the County of Riverside, State of California, in the ,,~anner.as provided by an Act of th~ !~egislature of the State of California, entitled, "An act to provide for the levy and col- lection of taxes by and for the use of municipal corporations and cities incorporated under the laws of the State of California, ex- cept mm%icipal corporations of the first class, and to l?rovide for the consolidation and abolition of certain municipal offices and to provide that their duties may be performed by certain officers of the county and fixing the compensation to be 'allowed for such county officers for the services so rendered to such m%micipal corporation, ~approved ].',arch 27, 1895'." Section 2. That the net amount of all taxes collect- ed for the City of Riverside by said County Tax Collector shall b~ paid to the T'.'easurer of the City of Riverside under t~he general requirements and penalties provided by law for the settlement of other taxes.
