ORD# 6182 <br /> Compensation <br /> -$48,000 per year paid in equal installments at the same time and manner as the other officers <br /> and employees of the city <br /> -$875.00 per month to be reimbursement of out-of-pocket expenses <br /> -additionally the Mayor will receive reimbursement for City Council authorized travel and <br /> expenses when on official duty <br /> Frinqe Benefits <br /> -continue to receive same benefits that have already been given <br /> -receives those fringe benefits that are available to management and executive employees. <br /> -excludes long term disability benefits <br /> -life insurance remains at its current level <br />11-22-1994 1994 Mayor and Council member Salary Commission Survey Memorandum <br /> -Reported that the average total Council Member compensation for the cities surveyed is <br /> $22,076 <br /> -Riverside's total Council Member compensation is $16,140 <br /> -Thus reporting a difference of $5,936 <br /> Recommendations <br /> -Rescind the Ordinance which reduced the Mayor's salary by 10%, thus restoring the Mayor's <br /> salary to $48,000 per year. <br /> -Maintain the Mayor's expense account at $875.00 per month, but require receipts for <br /> expenditures. <br /> -Maintain the Mayor's car allowance at $500.00 per month. <br /> -Establish a compensation level of $1600.00 per month for City Council Members , in lieu of <br /> the $1000.00 salary and former $275.00 expense allotment. <br /> -Establish a $300.00 per month car allowance for council members. <br /> -Continue the current policy of coordinating the benefit package for elected officials with <br /> that of the City's management staff. <br /> Fiscal Impact <br /> -$7,500 per Council member, including car allowance <br /> -total annual cost of $52,000 <br /> <br /> <br />
