TR~'~-iTY CALiFORNiA, SECTION 2 of oRDINANCE 61'6 (NEW SERIES) The ~ayor and ~he Counoil of the City of Rive~side do ordain as folloWe~ Section 1~ Paragraph (e) of Section 2 of O~dinance ~616) (New 8eries) is hereby amended ~o read as (e) Uses prohibited within City Ltmitsl For the public welfare, health, comfort, convenience and safety '0£ tho people of the City of Riverside, no building, structure, or premises shall be erected, constructed or altered or main- tained, except as provided in Section 14 hereof, anywhere within ~he City-limits of'the said city, to be used or designed or intended to be used for'the manufacture of ~ny product or by-product of fish meal or any product of which fish meal is a component pant, stock food made of fish, fish oil, or fe~iiizer unless the same is so desiEnod or arranged as not to em%t or allow to escape smoke, dust, or odor offensive to those residing in the neiEhborhood, nor shall any buildiflg, structure, or prem- ises be erected, constructed,;'altered, or maintained except as provided in Section 14 hereof, anywhere within the city limits of the said city, to be used or designed or intended to be used for the manufacture of gunpowder, explosives, or for carrying on any smelting or for conducting a slaughter house, stock yard; oil refinery or tannery. Nothing contained within this section shall be construed as permittin~ the use Of any building or premises ~r any trade, industry, or use that is noxious or offensive or constitutes a nuisance.
