The ~.~ayor and Council of the City of Riverside 7 do ordain as follows: Section 1: Paragraph (b) of Section 4501 of 9 Ordinance No. 578 (New Series) is hereby amended to read as 10 follows: 11 12 13 14, 15 16 18 19 20 "(b) Movable awnings of combustible materials supported throughout on metal frames may extend over the sidewalk portion of a pub- lie street a distance equal to two-thirds (2/3) the width of the sidewalk space; provided, that every part of every such awning frame shall be not less than seven feet (?~) above the sidewalk immediately below and that any fringe attached to. such awning shall be not less than six feet and six inches (6~6") from the sidewalk level inEediately below; and provided further that a canvas-drop may be temporarily attached to awn- ings for the purpose of protecting perishable fruits, vegetables and other produce from the sun, but no such canvas-drop shall hang closer than four feet and six inches (4~6'') from the sub. face of the sidewalk in~nediabely beneath the same . II 21 Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to 22 the adoption of this Ordinance and cause the same to be posted 23 on the Bulletin Board at the City Hall in said City. ~ 2% I, O.
