The revenue directly received by the "City" is still small, but more than last last year, and
the real effect of the ``life" that's drawn into the facility is more people on the streets in the
Historic District. Those people of course spend money downtown, and, of equal
importance, make the streets safer by their presence.

As noted earlier in this report, there will be some modest increases in charges for presenters
starling fight after the first of next year. The increases are modest, and designed to have
vimmay no effect on the Arts Groups. Both California Riverside Ballet and the
Philharmonic are comfortable with the way the increases are being instituted and concur
that they are necessary.

Incidentally, although I am certain that most of you have seen the attached mini brochure
which we produced earlier this year, I have enclosed one as part of this presentation. It is
one of the new "tools" which we created to help us to attract more presenters to the
building.

I firmly believe that the Arts Community in Riverside has grown more cohesive in recent
years, and am proud and pleased to be an integral part of it and want to continue to help to
nourish the growth and rebirth of Historic Downtown Riverside.

Since

Enclosure
