A D~AR~I~ 0P B~I~DIfl~ A~D OF BO~LDiNd IN~PEOTOR AND ~L~BiNO 3 -- 4 ~he Mayor and ~oUnoil of the oily of Riverside, § 0aiiforniA, do ordain as fOlloWs: 6 SECT~0N 1~ There is in ~he oit~ of Ri~erside, a 7 department khown as the "DePartment of BUilding.i' 8 SECTION ~: There is in the City of RiVerside, an 9 offiee kno~vn aS th~0ff~ce of 'iBUilding Ihspector.,' ]0 SEO~I0~ ~: There is ih the City of Riverside, an 1~ office known as the office of "Plttmbih~ Inspector," 12 SEOTION 4: The ~uildihg InspeCtor and the Plumbing i3 InsPector shall be appointed by the Mayor with the approval ~ of the CoUncil;' and one and the same man, in the discretioh 15 of the Mayor and council, may be appointed to the office of 16 Building i~spector and the Office of Plumbihg Inspector, if ~7 he possess ~he qualifications required of both the BUilding ~8 Inspector and of the plumbing InspectOr. 19 SECTION 8: The Building InspeCtor shall have the 20 powers and dukies which are conferred and imposed upon the 21 Building ~nSPect°r bY brdinances of the City of Riverside 22 and laws of the S~ate of Califorhia, ahd is directed to eh- 23 force the provisions of the BUilding Code of the City of 2~ Riverside, and for such purposes he shall have the powers of 25 a police officer.
