<br /> (a} 'That ~he s~i~ry o~ the City Attorney be, and the
<br /> s~e is hereby~ fiX~d at the mon~hiy~ of
<br /> effective as of ~eP~ember, ist,~ 194A~
<br /> And it is fUrther ~provided.that the oi~y Attorney sha!l~
<br /> in addition ~o his s~iary, recA~ve s~ch fees for representing
<br /> the City of Riversi~de in c~vii ma~ters, before courts and
<br /> commissions, in which ~he city~ or any officer thereof~ in his
<br /> officiai~capaci~Y, is interested, as may be fixed by ~he
<br /> co~cil or other board having jurisd~.c~lon in saidmat~ers.

<br /> (b) That the salary of the City ~uilding Inspector be~
<br />and the same is hereby, fiXed at the monthly sum of $2~8.00,
<br />effective as of September 1st, 1944,
<br />
<br /> (c) ~hat the salary of the City Engineg~l:be, anddthe
<br />same is hereby, fixed at the monthly sum of $298,00,
<br />effective as of September 1st, 1944.

<br /> (d) That the salary of the Chief of the Fire Department
<br />be, and the same is hereby, fixed at the monthly sum of $~05,00,
<br />effective as~of September 1st , 1944~
<br /> (e) That the salary of the City PlUmbing Inspector be,
<br />and the same is hereby, fixed at the monthlF sUm of $215.00,
<br />effective as of September 1st, 1944.

<br /> (f) That the salary of the Chief of Police be, and the
<br />same is hereby, fixed at the monthly sUm of $~03.00,
<br />effective as of September 1st, 1944.

<br /> (g) ~hat the salary of the Judge of the Police Court
<br />be, and the same is hereby, fixed at the monthly sum of $228.00,
<br />effective as of September 1st, 1944.
<br />
<br />'~ (h) That the salary of the Poundmaster be, and the same
<br />is hereby, fixed at the monthly sum of $64.00, effective as
<br />of September 1st, 1944.
<br />
<br /> (i) That the salary of the Superintendent of Streets.
<br />e, and the same is hereby, fixed at the monthly sum of
<br />29S.00, effective as of September 1st, 1944.
<br />
<br /> Section 2~ That in the event the City of Riverside
<br />does not furnish and pay the expense of autohobiles for the
<br />use of the City Engineer, the Chief of Police, and the
<br />Superintendent of Streets, they shall each be allowed
<br />$25.00 per month, in addition to their respective salaries,
<br />for transportation.
<br />
<br /> Section 3: Ordinance No. 1028 (~{~{{~{f{~, and all
<br />other ordinances in c~nflict herewith are hereby repealed.
<br />
<br />Section 4: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption
