5 The Mayor and Council of the City of Riverside do ordain 6 as follows: 7 Section 1: Paragraph (a) of Section ~2 of ordinance 8 No. 583 (New Series) is hereby amended to read as follows: 9 "Section ~2. STANDING FOR LOADING ONLY IN CERTAIN PLACES. 10 11 12 13 (a) It shall ~be unlawful for the operator~ OF a vehicle to stop said vehicle for a period of time longer than is n~cessary for the expeditious loading or unloading of passengers Or materials: (1) At any curb whepe the grade of the street exceeds twelve per cent (1L~); 14 15 (2) In any alley; (3) In any loading zone; 16 17 18 19 2O 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 31 32 (4) At the curb opposite the center of the entrance to any hospital; (8) At any curb within fifty (60) feet of a point on the curb opposite the center of the entrance to any police station, except passenger vehicles may stop for loading and unloading passengers at a designated passenger zone; (6) At any time between the hours of 8:S0 a.m. and 6:30 p.m~ of any day except Sundays and legal holidays, on the northerly side of Terracina Drive, from Terracina Court westerly to a point 110 feet westerly from the westerly line of Riverside Avenue; and on the southerly side of Terracina Drive, from Terracina Court to Magnolia Avenue; (?) In any portion of those certain streets in the City of Riverside known as ¥~ittier Place and Hidalgo Place; (8) In any marked passenger zone, and no vehicle shall stop in a passenger zone except parallel with the curb; (9) On the westerly.side of La Cadena Drive, from the City Limits southerly to Red~anq Curve, and on the nor- therly side of Redfngn Curve and of Russell Street, from La Cadena Drive to Mulberry Street; and on Russell Street from Orange Street to Main Street; (10) On the westerly side of Pachappa Avenue, from Third Street to Tenth Street; and on the easterly and westerly sides of Pachappa Avenue, from Thirteenth Street to Four- teenth Street; -1-
