IqIIEREAS on AugUst 19, 1969, the City Council of the City Of Riverside adopted Resolution No. 11323 .declaring its inten- tion to order the vacation of a portion of Kansas Avenue and fixing the time and place of hearing all persons interested in the proposed vacation, pursuant to the provisions of the Street Vacation Act of 1941, being Sections 8300 et seq. of Part 3, Division 9 of the Streets and llighways Code of the State of California; and WIIEREAS said proposed vacation was submitted to and acted upon by the Planning Commission of the City of Riverside and notice of hearing said resolution was given as provided by said Street Vacation Act of 1941; and ~{EREAS on the day fixed for the hearing the City Council heard and considered the evidence offered by persons interested and found and hereby finds from all of the evidence submitted that the portion of said street ordered vacated is unnecessary for present or prospective public use; NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain that the said portion of Kansas Avenue in the City of Riverside, County of Riverside, State of California, described as follows: All that portion of Kansas Avenue as shown by map recorded in Book 3, pages 1 through 10 inclusive of State llighway Maps, records of River- side County, Calffornia, described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of Segment "J" as shown in said Book 3, page 7 of State High- way ~{aps; Thence North 70" 32' 36" East along the south- erly right of way line of the Riverside Freeway as shown in said Book 3, page 7, a distance of 60.07 feet;
