Official zones are intended for <br />official and public uses of property and related <br />activities including civic center, public schools, <br />public buildings, parks and recreation areas, waterworks <br />and drainage facilities, highways and areas which, for <br />the welfare of the city, should be kept clear of <br />particular structures or improvements, and for watershed <br />areas for conservation of flood or storm waters or for <br />protection against flood or storm waters, and for certain <br />private recreational, agricultural and other compatible <br />uses. <br /> <br />19.60..020 USES PERMITTED. The following uses are <br />permitted in the Official "O" Zone: <br /> <br />Official and public uses of property and related <br />activities, agricultural uses and related activities <br />and flood control facilities subject to plot plan <br />review and approval for location, appropriateness <br />and safety from flood or storm waters by the City <br />Planning Commission. Said plot plan review and <br />approval shall be obtained before building permits <br />are issued or construction started; <br /> <br />2. Private recreation uses, riding academies or stables, <br /> dairies, rifle, pistol and archery ranges, zoos~ <br /> arboretums, wildlife preserves, and other uses as <br /> provided in Section 19.68.010 which in the judgment <br /> of the Commission are similar to, compatible with <br /> and no more objectionable than any of those <br /> enumerated herein, all subject to the granting of <br /> a conditional use permit for which project plans <br /> showing all facilities, buildingp, parking areas, <br /> walls, fences, open areas and landscaping are made <br /> a part of.the permit." <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption <br /> <br />of this ordinance and cause it to be published once in <br /> <br />Tne Press <br /> <br />This ordinance sh&ll become effective on <br /> <br />-1- <br /> <br /> <br />
