1 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> ? <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br />11 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />i5 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />2o <br /> <br />~3 <br /> <br />~5 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />~8 <br /> <br />29 <br /> <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />3~ <br /> <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 374e <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE'OF THE 0ITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />FIXING THE AMOUNT OF REVENUE NECESSARY TO BE <br />RAISED BY TAXATION UPON THE TAXABLE PROPERTY OF <br />THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, FOR THE FISCAL <br />YEAR BEGINNING JULY 1, 1970, AND ENDING JUNE 30, <br />1971; AND DECLARING TI{IS ORDINANCE TO BE AN <br />EMERGENCY MEASURE. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as <br /> follows: <br /> <br /> Section l: That tbs'amount of revenue necessary to be <br /> <br /> raised by ~axation upon the taxable property in the City of <br /> Riverside, California, to support the various departments of <br /> the City, and to'pay principal and interest' on its bonded <br /> indebtedness as it matures, and to provide revenue sufficient <br /> to meet all obligations of the City to the Public Employees' <br /> Retirement System for the retirement of City'employees and for <br /> Old Age survivor,s Disability insurance, to provide revenue for <br /> library purposes, and to provide revenue~for'capital outlay <br /> (street improvement) pGrposes., all for the fiscal year beginning <br /> July l, 1970, and ending June 30, 1971, be and the same is <br /> hereby fixed in the amount of $3,295,0?2, after allowing for <br /> estimated tax delinquencies. <br /> <br /> Section 2: This ordinance is declared to be an emergency <br /> measure for the preservation of the public peace, health and <br /> safety as said terms are used in Section ~12 of the Charter of <br /> the City of Riverside, and shall take effect immediately upon <br /> its adoption. The reason for the urgency is that the assessment, <br /> collection and enforcement of the property taxes of the City of <br /> Riverside will be placed in Jeopardy in the event this ordinance <br /> does not become effective prior to September l, 1970, as required <br /> <br />· by law. <br /> <br /> Section 3: The'City Clerk shall certify to t!le adoption of <br /> this ordinance and cause it to be published once 1~{ The Press. <br /> <br />CI'YY A~I'OR N £¥ <br /> RIYER~}IDE <br /> <br /> <br />
