1 <br /> <br /> 2 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />lO <br /> <br />ll <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />Z3 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />~8 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br />22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 16358 <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, TO PROVIDE THAT FEBRUARY 13, <br />1987 WILL BE A HOLIDAY KNOWN AS LINCOLN'S DAY FOR <br />CERTAIN CITY EMPLOYEES RATHER THAN FEBRUARY 12th <br />AS DESIGNATED IN SECTION 1 of RESOLUTION NO. 15810, <br />AS AMENDED. <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Section 1 of Resolution No. 15810, as amended, <br />sets forth the various authorized holidays for the employees of <br />the City of Riverside; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS said Section 1 provides that February 12th of <br />each year shall be a holiday for certain City employees, which <br />holiday shall be known as "Lincoln's Day"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS in February 1987, most City employees will <br />observe two holidays, to wit: Thursday, February 12, 1987, as <br />"Lincoln's Day" and Monday, February 16, 1987, as "Washington's <br />Day"; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS Lincoln's Day falls on a Thursday prior to a <br />three-day weekend, and it is to the benefit of the employees and <br />to the general public to move the Lincoln's Day holiday observ- <br />ance to Friday, February 13, 1987, for this year only to allow <br />for a full staff on Thursday, February 12, 1987, rather than the <br />minimal staff which may otherwise work on Friday, February 13, <br />1987; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS the employee groups representing the employees <br />affected have concurred in the change in date for the observance <br />of Lincoln's Day for this year only; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of <br />the City of Riverside that notwithstanding the designation of <br /> <br />CITY ATTORNEY <br />RIVERSIDE <br />CALIFORNIA <br /> <br /> <br />
