CORRECTED <br /> <br /> 3 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> ? <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> lo <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />AMD-7-878 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5627 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING SECTION 19.10.020 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO ALLOW THE ESTABLISHMENT OF PLANT NURSERIES, <br />INCLUDING RETAIL SALES, IN THE RESIDENTIAL-1 ZONES <br />SUBJECT TO THE GRANTING OF A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT <br />AND COMPLIANCE WITH SPECIFIED CRITERIA. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1: Section 19.10.020 of the Riverside Municipal <br />Code is hereby amended by adding thereto a new paragraph (20) to <br /> <br />read as follows: <br /> <br /> "(20) The retail sale of plant nursery stock and <br />closely related garden supplies subject to the granting <br />of a conditional use permit and compliance with the <br />following criteria: <br /> A. The use shall be established on a parcel <br />at least one acre net in size. <br /> B. The property shall have direct frontage on <br />a major or secondary street so identified on the <br />Circulation and Transportation Element of the Riverside <br />General Plan. <br /> C. No building shall have an overall height <br />of more than twenty feet nor be located closer than <br />twenty feet to any property line. <br /> D. All parking, lighting and signing shall be <br />oriented away or screened from adjacent residentially <br />zoned property. <br /> E. All storage of non-plant material shall be <br />in a completely enclosed building or within a masonry <br />wall enclosure at least six feet in height. <br /> F. No outdoor telephone bell or paging system <br />will be permitted. <br /> G. Signing shall be limited to one single or <br />double-faced monument identification sign not to exceed <br />24 square feet per display face or six feet in overall <br />height which may be lighted only during business hours." <br /> <br />Section 2: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption <br /> <br />of this ordinance and cause publication once in a newspaper of <br /> <br />general circulation in accordance with Section 414 of the <br /> <br />Charter of the City of Riverside.
