1 2 7 9 10 17 18 19 ~0 ~7 ORDINANCE NO. 5624 ~N ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING CHAPTER 18.36 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO IMPROVEMENTS REQUIRED FOR SUBDIVISION TRACT MAPS ~lqD PkRCEL M~PS BY AMENDING SECTION 18.36,060 RELATING TO NE~ ONE-HUNDRED-TEN-FOOT ~RTERIAL STREETS, SECTION 18.36,070 RELATING TO FRONTAGE RO~D REQUIREMENTS, AND SECTION 18.36.080 RELATING TO REVERSE FRONTAGE ~ND SIDE FRONTAGE LOTS TO DELETE CITY PARTICIPATION IN SUCH STREET IMPROVEMENTS AND TO REQUIRE THE SUBDIVIDER TO BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR STREET CONSTRUCTION WITHIN ~ND ADJACENT TO SUBDIVISIONS TO BE OPERATIVE AS OF APRIL 1, 1988. WHEREAS the subdivision regulations of the City of Riverside, California, as set forth in Title 18 of the Riverside Municipal Code limits the amount of street construction required of private developments in those instances where a new one-hundred-ten-foot arterial is located within or adjacent to the boundaries of the subdivision (Section 18.36.060); where a frontage road is required to limit access to adjacent streets (Section 18.36.070), and where limited access on adjacent streets is accomplished by designating reverse and/or side frontage lots (Section 18.36.080); and WHEREAS typically when these situations occur the City of Riverside participates in construction of the additional paving needed on the adjacent streets; and WHEREAS the City does not have sufficient funds to continue such participation and the increased costs to the subdivider to install that portion previously the responsibility of the City would be minor relative to the subdivider's total costs; and WHEREAS in the Southern California area such CITY ATTORNEY RIVERSIDE CALIFORNIA
