CORRECTED <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> ? <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> 10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br /> 12 <br /> <br />~3 <br /> <br />15 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />~7 <br /> <br />~8 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br /> 20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br /> 22 <br /> <br />23 <br /> <br />2~ <br /> <br />25 <br /> <br />26 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />AMD-2-878 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5610 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING TITLE 19 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL CODE <br />TO ESTABLISH PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS TO PERMIT <br />RECYCLING FACILITIES CONSISTENT WITH THE STATE <br />BEVERAGE CONTAINER RECYCLING AND LITTER REDUCTION <br />ACT (AB 2020) AND REPEALING ORDINANCE NOS. 5547 AND <br />5571 WHICH ESTABLISHED A TEMPORARY USE PROCEDURE FOR <br />PERMITTING RECYCLING FACILITIES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 19.04 of the Riverside Municipal <br /> <br />Code is hereby amended by adding the following definitions <br /> <br />thereto as new Sections 19.04.043, 19.04.044, 19.04.098, <br /> <br />19.04.188, 19.04.274, 19.04.418 and 19.04.419 to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "19.04.043 BEVERAGE CONTAINER. 'Beverage container' <br />means any individual bottle, can, jar, carton or similar <br />receptacle which is redeemable pursuant to the <br />California Beverage Container Recycling and Litter <br />Reduction Act of 1986 and any other aluminum beverage <br />container." <br /> <br /> "19.04.044 BEVERAGE CONTAINER RECYCLING FACILITY. <br />'Beverage container recycling facility' means a site <br />where beverage containers as defined in this chapter may <br />be redeemed for cash or other compensation. Said <br />facility may be a reverse vending machine(s), mobile <br />recycling unit or indoor collection center." <br /> <br /> "19.04.098 CONVENIENCE ZONE. 'Convenience zone' <br />means any geographic area designated by the California <br />Department of Conservation as requiring the presence of <br />one or more recycling facilities, mobile recycling units <br />or reverse vending machines pursuant to the California <br />Beverage Container Recycling and Litter Reduction Act of <br />1986." <br /> <br /> "19.04.188 INDOOR COLLECTION CENTER. 'Indoor <br />collection center' means a beverage container recycling <br />facility located within a completely enclosed building <br />operating solely for the purpose of collecting, sorting, <br />temporarily storing and redeeming beverage containers as <br />defined by this chapter.
