CORRECTED <br /> <br />1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> ? <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br />10 <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br />12 <br /> <br />13 <br /> <br />16 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br />20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br />27 <br /> <br />AMD-5-867 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 5609 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, <br />AMENDING SECTION 19.68,040 OF THE RIVERSIDE MUNICIPAL <br />CODE TO ALLOW SATELLITE DISH ANTENNAE FOR RETAIL <br />STORES IN COMMERCIAL AND/OR INDUSTRIAL ZONES. <br /> <br />The City Council of the City of Riverside does ordain as <br /> <br />follows: <br /> <br />Section 1: Chapter 19.68 of the Riverside Municipal Code <br /> <br />is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "19.68.040 ANTENNAE AND APPURTENANT SUPPORT STRUCTURES. <br /> (a) Non-commercial antennas and appurtenant support <br />structures for the purpose of transmitting and/or <br />receiving electromagnetic waves, including radio and <br />television signals, may be erected in all zones except the <br />Floodplain Combining or the Water Course Zones as a <br />permitted accessory use and are not subject to the height <br />limits of their respective zones. However, such antennas <br />and support structures excluding guywires may not be <br />established in any required front or street side yard and <br />their establishment may also be restricted or precluded if <br />contrary to regulations of the federal government. Design <br />Review Board approval shall not be required on <br />non-commercial accessory antennas except where otherwise <br />required by this chapter. <br /> (b) Antennas and support structures intended for <br />commercial broadcasting and/or receiving or which are <br />established as the principal or sole use on a given <br />property shall be subject to the granting of a conditional <br />use permit. <br /> (c) Non-commercial satellite dish antennas for the <br />demonstration of products sold within a business <br />establishment are permitted subject to the following <br />criteria: <br /> (1) A maximum of two such antennas may be <br /> installed on the premises of each business which <br /> sells or operates equipment using a satellite dish. <br /> In complexes or shops, offices and industrial <br /> spaces, a single dish should be shared. <br /> (2) The satellite dishes installed must be the <br /> smallest units available in the business <br /> establishment for the intended use, not to exceed 12 <br /> feet in diameter. <br /> (3) The satellite dish must be ground mounted <br /> in a location not visible to adjoining streets.
