§ 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 l& 1§ 16 18 19 2O 21 2~ 2~ 26 27 28 29 ~0 (Garfield Street Assessment District) (General Nature, Location and Extent) (Pland & Specifications; Assessment District Map) RESOLUTION No. RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RIVERSIDE, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTED PURSUANT TO THE SPECIAL ASSESSMENT INVESTIGATION, LIMITATIONAND MAJORITY PROTEST ACT OF 1931, DETERMINING THE GENERAL NATURE, LOCATION AND EXTENT OF THE PUBLIC IMPROVEMENT P~OPOSED TO BE MADE IN THE GARFIELD STREET ASSESSMENT DISTRICT P~OCEEDING PURSUANT~TO THE IMPROVEMENT' ACT OF !911; ADOPTING THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS , AND ASSESSMENT DISTRICT MAP; DETERMINING THE BOUNDARIES OF THE GARFIELD STREET ASSESSMENT DISTRICT TO BE BENEFITED AND BE SPECIALLY ASSESSED; APPROVING THE REPORT OF THE CITY ENGINEER AND FIXING THE TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING. It is Hereby Resolved, Determined and Ordered by the City Council of the City of Riverside, California, pursuant to The Special Assessment Investi~ation~ Limitation and Majority Protest Act of 1931, being Division 4 of the Streets and Highways Code, Sections 2800 et.seq., as follows~ 1. The City Council of the City of Riverside, California, herein called the City Council, proposes to order the construction of the herein described sidewalks, and the doing of the herein described incidental, appurtenant and auxiliary work, in the herei~ specified portions of Garfield Street and Canterbury Road, in the herein described proposed Garfield Street Assessment District, in the City of Riverside, and to specially assess the whole amount of the costs and expenses and incidental expenses thereof upon the lands in the proposed Garfield Street Assessment District, the public streets and easements owned by the City of Riverside to be excepted; by proceedings pursuant to the Improvement Act of 1911. 2. The general nature, location and extent of the proposed public work and improvement is constructing standard property line cement concrete sidewalks 5 feet wide in both sides of a portion of Garfield Street, from its intersection with Canterbury Road extending in front of Lots Nos. 29 to 48, inclusive of Canterbury Road Tract as per map on file in Map Book 26 pages 1 and 2 of Riverside County Records; and in the portion of the northeasterly side of Canterbury Road, for its intersection with Garfield Street extending along the southwesterly lot line of said Lot 48 of Canterbury Road Tract; constructing cement block walls; removing trees and shrubs, grading and doing earthwork and finishing the project; and doing incidental, appurtenant and auxiliary work; all
