1 <br /> <br />2 <br /> <br />3 <br /> <br /> 6 <br /> <br /> 7 <br /> <br /> 8 <br /> <br /> 9 <br /> <br /> lO <br /> <br /> 11 <br /> <br />14 <br /> <br />~5 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />17 <br /> <br />18 <br /> <br />19 <br /> <br /> 20 <br /> <br /> 21 <br /> <br />~5 <br /> <br />~6 <br /> <br />a7 <br /> <br />~8 <br /> <br />~9 <br /> <br />30 <br /> <br />31 <br /> <br />3~ <br /> <br />HESOLUTION NO. 11809 <br /> <br />A .RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF TIlE CITY OF <br />RIVERSIDE~ CALIFORNIA, RECOGiIIZING TIIE TRI-COUNTY <br />COUNCIb ON CBIMINAL JUSTICE AS THE REGIONAL <br />CRIMINAL JUSTICE PLANNING BOARD. <br /> <br /> WNEREAS, the Omnibus Crime Control and Safe Streets Act <br />of 1968 provided a national strategy to address the documented <br />probiems in the administration of Justice; and <br /> <br /> WNEREAS, the Governor, pursuant to provisions of the <br />DeukmeJian-Noretti Act, established the California Council on <br />Criminal Justice as the State Criminal Justice Planning Agenc) <br />to further the comprehensiveness of criminal Justice planning <br />in thi8 state; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the California Council on Criminal Justice has <br />established Tri-County (Riverside~ San Bernardino and Imperial) <br />as a separate planning region, effective July 1, 1971; and <br /> <br /> WSEHEAS~ the Trl-County Council has tile responsibility <br />for developing a regional comprehensive criminal justice imp~ove- <br />ment plan; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Riverside has participated in the <br />development of the regional comprehensive criminal justice plan <br />for 1971 and the development of a more comprehensive criminal <br />justice plan for 1972; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Tri-County regional comprehensive criminal <br />Justice plan for 1972 is currently undergoing State review; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the regional comprehensive criminal Justice <br /> <br />plan encourages greater cooperation among criminal justice <br />agencies and units of general local government to control crime <br />and to work to~ards the elimination of i~s causes in this region; <br /> <br /> NOW, TREREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City of Riverside <br />recognizes the Trl-County Council on Criminal Justice as the <br />Tri-County Regional Planning and Coordinating Body for Criminal <br />Justice. <br /> <br /> <br />
